Application of AI in the Corporate Secretarial Sector
The session explored how artificial intelligence and digital workflows can support Singapore Corporate Service Providers in managing increasingly complex compliance responsibilities while improving operational efficiency and client experience.
As regulatory expectations become more detailed, CSPs are required to collect, review, verify, document and continuously update a growing amount of customer information. At the same time, clients expect faster onboarding, clearer communication and a smoother digital experience.
This creates an important challenge for the industry: how can CSPs strengthen compliance without creating unnecessary administrative work or slowing down service delivery?

During the session, Mr. Calvin highlighted that compliance should not remain a fragmented and heavily manual process.
Many CSPs still rely on separate forms, spreadsheets, email exchanges and multiple third-party tools to complete different parts of the customer due diligence process. This can result in repeated data entry, incomplete records, inconsistent internal reviews and difficulty maintaining a clear audit trail.

Live Demonstration of AlgoCandy
The conference session also featured a live demonstration of AlgoCandy.
The demonstration showed how clients can complete required information, upload supporting documents, verify their identities and sign relevant declarations through an online workflow.
CSP teams can then review the submitted information, process AML screening results, complete risk assessments, record internal comments and approvals, and generate standardised CDD reports for record-keeping and compliance review.
AlgoCandy also supports ongoing monitoring after the initial CDD process has been completed. This includes AML monitoring, document expiry reminders and periodic review notifications based on the customer’s risk level.
The demonstration illustrated how AI and digital workflows can help CSPs make compliance processes more structured, consistent and efficient, while reducing unnecessary back-and-forth communication with clients.

The key message shared during the session was simple:
